I.I.S. Albert Einstein

I.I.S. Albert Einstein is a secondary school in Turin, Italy.

Our school is located in Turin, in northwestern Italy, near the Swiss and French borders. Turin, known for FIAT - today's FIAT-Chrysler, hosted the 2006 Winter Olympics. Turin is the city of Piedmontese Baroque, the city flourished during the Kingdom of Savoy, whose royal dynasty united Italy in 1861 and made Turin the first capital of Italy. With a student body of 1500 between 14 and 18 years, as well as 110 teachers, our Lyceum divides into the main areas of science, modern languages and social sciences. Approximately 20% of the students have a migrant background and come from more than eight different nations. Our focus on inclusion and integration has led many families of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations of immigrants to send their children to our school in Turin. During the past 30 years, the city has suffered a severe industrial crisis, today it is a cultural city with important museums, university students and higher education. Currently, the aviation and aerospace industry in Turin is associated with the adventure of the Mars mission, a high level of mechanization with unfortunately few employees. Not all families of our students can afford to travel, which is why international projects are very important to us. In the coming year we expect an increasing number of registrations - as a result of many activities, among which v.a. International Erasmus + projects.
